Renee and The Month of April

By Sean Musial

April has been a shift in momentum. It is considered an underrated month for sports; in reality, it sets the tone. For Renee, she’s been booked and busy.

Over an 8-day stretch, she covered 4 games for Gamebridge Super League as the push towards playoffs is on. Her involvement will only continue to grow as the amount of games increases—and so does the responsibility to tell the important storylines. Soccer is at the forefront, but other sports are always present. Not just for the upcoming events will be covering, but also the overlap of sports calendars.

It’s an exciting stretch across the spring sports world right now! Rory McIlroy won the 2026 Masters Tournament getting his second green jacket, the start of the NBA playoff, the WNBA draft being held mid-April, and the 91st NFL draft starts up, each giving us an idea of what the result is for each league and tournament. Across every sport, there is one thing clear—a story is always developing. Renee remains at the center of it all.

Recently, on April 15th, Renee had the honor of being a speaker for the Drexel Sport Business Conference. The name of the panel was titled “Game On, Philly”. It brought together other industry professionals such as Jackie Endsley (the 2026 PGA Championship Director with the Professional Golfers' Association), Michael Harris (the Vice President for Marketing and Government Affairs with the Philadelphia Phillies), Ashely Lunkenheimer (co-founder of Philadelphia Sisters), and Jonathan Todd (the Director of Social Impact with Philadelphia 2026). It brought together key executives to discuss executing some of the biggest events and movements in sports.

Conversations like this show how much collaboration and vision goes into bringing sports, global and local, to life. She contributed her own perspective from the media and broadcasting side to bring all the concepts together.

So how do you stay up to date on so many massive sports stories and events? Here’s the key—stay ready so you don’t have to get ready. Consistently staying in the know on recent sports news helps proactively prepare for any bookings, panels, and events that come your way.

Spring doesn’t just change the weather—there’s possibilities that come with it. The mindset is simple: work hard and the rest will speak for itself. A quote by Saint Francis of Assisi says it best, “Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” Renee lives by that approach.
