This week at Renee Washington Media & Consulting was filled with client work, speaking engagements, sports broadcasting, travel, and relationship building.

From supporting Brooklyn FC and leading a Cencora corporate workshop to connecting with media professionals at NABJ, the week brought RWMC into a variety of spaces while continuing to build momentum for the months ahead.

🎤 Speaking, Consulting & Client Work

This week brought several opportunities to support clients through hands-on work and in-person engagement.

• August 10: Began working with Brooklyn FC and published the organization’s first weekly recap.

• August 11: Led a Cencora corporate workshop in Conshohocken, PA, followed by networking and engagement with participants.

• August 13: Held a Sports Summit planning meeting as preparations continue for the September 12 event.

• Continue Brooklyn FC client work and weekly content development.

💼 Inside RWMC

As the team continues to grow, RWMC remains focused on strengthening the people, systems, and resources behind the work.

• August 10: Held an RWMC team meeting to align on current projects, upcoming priorities, and team responsibilities.

• Continued welcoming and onboarding new RWMC team members.

• Advanced new RWMC educational resources and internal projects.

• Continued refining workflows and systems to support the team’s growing range of projects and priorities.

🏟️ Sports, Media, & Industry Engagement

Sports and media were at the center of the week, with RWMC balancing broadcasting, conference programming, and industry engagement.

• August 12: Traveled to Atlanta for the NABJ Convention and began conference programming and industry engagement.

• August 13: Supported planning and execution of the NABJ Sports Task Force party.

• August 13–14: Attended NABJ programming and connected with broadcasters, journalists, media professionals, and industry partners.•

August 15: Supported the Gainbridge Super League broadcast with Vista Worldlink as DC Power FC took on Carolina Ascent FC.

🤝 Business Development & Relationship Building

NABJ created opportunities to strengthen existing relationships while opening the door to new conversations across sports and media.

• August 12–14: Connected with new industry contacts and strengthened existing relationships throughout NABJ.

• Followed up with connections from NABJ and other summer networking opportunities.

• Continued conversations around future partnerships, speaking opportunities, and consulting projects.

📱 Marketing & Content

Content development remained an important part of the week, helping RWMC document its work while creating resources for its audience.

• August 10: Developed the first Brooklyn FC Weekly Recap.

• August 12–14: Captured content from the NABJ Convention and behind-the-scenes moments.

• Continued planning and preparing upcoming marketing and social media content.

• Continued developing new RWMC educational resources.

📸 Behind the Scenes

This week was a great example of how varied the work at RWMC can be. From a corporate workshop in Pennsylvania to Brooklyn FC training, a national media convention in Atlanta, and sports broadcasting, the week brought together many of the different areas RWMC operates in. Behind each engagement was continued preparation, coordination, and execution to keep everything moving forward.

💡 What We Learned This Week

The week reinforced the value of showing up and staying connected. From engaging with Cencora workshop participants to meeting professionals at NABJ and working alongside the RWMC team, each experience created opportunities to learn, build relationships, and keep moving forward.
