One of the biggest recent stories in sports has been the opening of Northwestern’s new Ryan Field, a football stadium grander than the Wildcats have ever seen before.

There’s been plenty of talk about the stadium but Northwestern’s student newspaper, The Daily Northwestern, has provided extensive coverage from within the student body.

From gathering media reactions to an article on the opening game itself to an opinion piece from a writer outside the sports world.

The perspective of the students is perhaps the most important and it’s certainly worthwhile to read their coverage.

Sports Media Tip

When conducting interviews, prepare more questions than you think you need. Your subject might inadvertently answer multiple questions at once or leave you wanting more answers, so it's important to always have backup questions ready to draw on.
