Welcome and thanks for checking out this page on Renee Washington! Renee is many things! She is currently an analyst and reporter with ESPN covering men's and women's sports in the Ivy League. She also works for Fox Sports covering the WNBA team, the Washington Mystics and in the NBA covering the Washington Wizards.
She hosts Beyond the Headlines with Renee Washington on Fox Sports Radio 96.9FM/1340AM. She hosts "Locked on Wizards" with the Locked on Podcast Network. Outside of broadcasting, she coaches youth soccer, models for Savage Series 8, and is an actress.
She previously hosted a live weekly show "Redefining Us with Renee Washington" where Renee and her guests discuss ways to break stereotypes around race and gender. She was a cohost with DJ Bugsy for a show called "I Do it 4 Hip Hop" and an in-arena host with the La Salle Men's Basketball Program.
Previously, she worked in the Arena Football League as a team reporter for the Atlantic City Blackjacks. She was also the senior on air talent and producer for the National Lacrosse League, where she worked as a reporter/anchor creating all of the video content and hosting the shows that aired on NLL TV and Bleacher Report Live. Prior to the NLL, she worked as a multimedia journalist and tv host with SNJ Today where she hosted a racing show called South Jersey Speed and created daily news packages. She also worked as a sports multimedia journalist and anchor as well as a news reporter with Gatehouse Media (Formerly Calkins Media) covering the Bucks County Courier Times, The Intelligencer, and The Burlington County Times. Renee also works as a sideline reporter, play by play analyst, radio broadcaster, and writer.
Along with sports journalism work, Renee has been fortunate to work in modeling, acting, and filmmaking with some big projects in progress. In her free time, she is a youth travel soccer coach with FC Delco. Renee also volunteers with the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America to help with media promotion and events through interviews and creating videos. Additionally, works as a media mentor with Kidzhub helping aspiring young broadcasters and teaching them all of the opportunities in the industry.
Renee is a former all-American soccer player at LaSalle University. She helped lead her team to its first-ever conference tournament championship and NCAA tournament appearance, graduated with two A-10 championships and three NCAA appearances. Renee is currently the second highest points holder in women's soccer program history for goals and assists. She also played professionally with SkyBlue FC for a short time before hanging up her cleats to pursue her master's degree and coach women's soccer at Lehigh University. While at Lehigh, she worked in the Sports Media department covering games and creating media content for the athletics website. Additionally, she has received on-camera script reading experience, runway work, and modeling work with Image International, a modeling agency in the Lehigh Valley that worked with personalities such as Amanda Seyfried.
