INTRO
With the month of May now here, that momentum that was picked up in April is only continuing to grow. Renee is booked and busy as always. The biggest thing on the agenda now is keeping up with sports and keeping the energy high. Spring is an interesting season—it’s placed right before summer with a rich landscape for all things sports to boast. For Renee, this is where the energy continues to rise!
APRIL RECAP
April was a successful month—a pivotal moment for what the rest of the year has in store.
Renee was asked to attend the NFL draft this year in Pittsburgh to help with coverage. While working with Visit PA and the NFL, she was able to watch all the players walk across the stage and select their caps. She talked to fans across the country, and the world, seeing their perspectives of who they’re representing and how they feel about being there.
Renee hosted the 40-yard dash consisting of 4 of PA’s mascots as a fun show for fans and members of the industry to see who the fastest mascot is really out of them. The draft opened the door for many more opportunities and set the stage for the upcoming football season.
The panels Renee was a part of, consisting of the Philadelphia Student Press Association Summit and the Drexel Sport Business Conference, is a full circle moment for her. She was once in the shoes of the students that attended these events. Now, she has been given the opportunity to give her wisdom of what she has learned so far in her career to the upcoming generation.

AN INDUSTRY INSIGHT
The balancing of all these obligations that Renee has is a difficult task for anyone, but Renee has learned to manage them through trial and error. Because she’s been in the industry for as long as she has, she’s learned what works for her and what doesn’t.
Preparation has always been the key defying factor. Whether it is with a quick snack during down time or the ins-and-outs of what she is doing on a day-to-day basis, being prepared for anything that gets thrown in her direction has helped her with an often-overwhelming schedule. She has learned to use those downtimes to her advantage, as few as there may be, so she can be as good as new when her next obligation presents itself.

A PREVIEW OF MAY
Due to her involvement with the Gainbridge Super League, her coverage of the sports will only begin to increase as playoffs approach.
Recently, she hosted a panel for “Game Changers: Leading the Next Era of Sports Marketing” with Female Quotient in the FQ Lounge at Miami Grand Prix. Another stage where Renee expressed her wisdom of the industry and another conversation shaping the future of sports.
This year's PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club where we will see the golfers go head-to-head across 18 holes. Fans of the sport, get ready for yet another big event for golf!
With the FIFA World Cup around the corner, Philadelphia, and the nation, are preparing for a shift from the norm as we host one of the most important global phenomena in soccer.
From her work on Watch Stories From the Cities - Philadelphia and her collaboration with the city as we get ready for the event. Renee is covering the cultural, historical and community impact that the tournament is beginning along with it.
FORWARD LOOKING
This exciting stretch for Philadelphia sports is something that comes around once in a lifetime! It’s something that shouldn’t be taken for granted. Renee sure hasn’t. She’s ready for the spotlight that will shine over Philly over the upcoming months as preparation is tedious and the cultural impact of each event only grows with time. The professional and personal growth that will come with it all is something Renee is taking for face value since she knows what it really means for the future.
SEND OFF
Stepping into the next phases of life is something people are prepared for, even if it is difficult or something they can’t wait to arrive. In sports, stepping into that next phase is something people universally look forward to because everything that is waiting to be unearthed is like the results of the final game of a long series or who is actually going to take the championship of the league. Sports build community, and Philly is ready for their community to grow exponentially. Renee is ready to keep you covered on these changes and what Philly has to offer in May.
