The Ins-and-Outs of UFC 330

The UFC is coming to the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia on Saturday, August 15, 2026! After the letdown that came of the McGregor VS Holloway fight that saw Conor hurt himself in the first second of the match from a flying kick, the fans want more.  They want something like the performance Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblet did that same night against Benoit Saint Denis by submission—an even shorter match than what the main event ended up becoming.

The UFC 330 main event has Islam Makhachev vs. Ian Machado Garry for the welterweight championship with a co-main event that has Mackenzie Dern defending the Women’s Strawweight Championship against Gillian Robertson. With 10 bouts in all, it’s shaped up to be an entertaining night that can be streamed on Paramount+.

Times and dates:

  • Weigh Ins: August 14, 2026 (Time not yet disclosed)

  • UFC 330: Saturday, August 15, 2026

  • Early Prelims: 5:00 PM EST

  • Prelims: 7:00 PM EST

  • Main Card: 9:00 PM EST

The event is part of the grand surge of major sporting events coming through the City of Brotherly Love in 2026 and having work opportunities. Professional media members typically apply weeks in advance for the event through UFC’s credential page. This opens the door to having access to the official media day, fighter interviews, press conference, ceremonial weigh-ins, fight night press rooms, the post-fight conference, and plenty of more exposure to get your story across. On rare occasions, the UFC allows new creators if they have a substantial audience and an editorial experience, but this is very tricky and competitive to gain the companies approval.

Open media day usually takes place on Tuesday or Wednesday and allows fans to interact with the man behind the fighter. The official press conference usually takes place on Thursday leading up to the fight and is arguably the biggest networking opportunity of the entire event. Ceremonial weigh-ins are open to the public, allowing for photography, fan interviews, and the usage of social media reporting; the official weigh-ins are primarily media personnel.

There are plenty of ways to join in on the fun; and some are still on their way because not all are scheduled yet. The “Fan Experience" allows for the attendees to get signed autographs, purchase merchandise, and even training demonstrations from fighters. Like the training demonstrations, they hold Open-Workouts where a public Q&A is held and you can learn highlight drills.

Breaking into the UFC can be a hard undertaking. Knowing where to be to help better your standing point in the industry is your next step to success. Getting involved with any opportunity you can throughout the event, if it’s from journalism, broadcasting, or freelance endeavors, gives you a chance to network with others breaking into the industry or those already established. The first mission is to take that first stop forward into the world of the octagon.
