Another introduction of the team here at Renee Washington Media & Consulting (RWMC)! Keep a watchful eye for more team introductions as we head into July.
Sofia Enriquez
Sofia is a member of the social team for RWMC where she contributes to content creation, social media strategy, and event coverage. Through this role she has taken this summer, she helps create engaging content and support projects that aims to connect sports, storytelling, and strives to keep the community engaged.
She moved from Buenos Aires, Argentina, by herself to Philadelphia in the United States at just 18. “Leaving my family, friends, and everything familiar behind to pursue opportunities as a student-athlete. Since then, I’ve learned how to adapt to new cultures, balance academics and athletics, and build a career in sports media. Living between two cultures has given me a unique perspective and has taught me how much can happen when you take a chance on yourself,” Sofia said regarding the lifestyle shift she had when initially moving out to the States.
Here’s what to know about Sofia:
She is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina and travels to America to attend La Salle University in Philadelphia where she is majoring in Communication with minors in Digital Arts and Sports Management.
While at La Salle, she plays D1 field hockey. Also, she serves as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and as a Morgan’s Message Ambassador, where she helps advocate for student-athlete mental health awareness.

Fun Fact: Her goal after college is that she would love to work in the sports industry, specifically with a focus on creating digital media and content that connects fans with teams, athletes, and major sporting events. She’s hoping this internship improves her skills and helps her professionally.
The Work
Sofia’s responsibilities include creating content for social media, editing videos, writing captions, scheduling posts, and helping develop creative ideas for upcoming projects and campaigns for RWMC’s online presence. On top of her hard work with content creation, she assists with content planning, brainstorming new ways to engage audiences, and supporting initiatives that help strengthen the RWMC brand so its community presence is relevant and aways continuing to grow day by day.
The Knowledge
Through this internship, she has expanded her knowledge of the sports industry, branding, and content strategy. The importance of effective storytelling, audience engagement, time management, professional networking, and building a personal brand while developing her voice as a communicator and leader is something that has become a major milestone while taking on this internship. More knowledge will be learned over the duration of the internship!

Watch out for more members of RWMC’s team being introduced in the upcoming weeks!!
