INTRO

June is just around the corner, and May has already set the stage perfectly. Philly this summer is going to be a jampacked melting pot of sports and our divisive culture.

Renee is ready to have you covered on that! Whether it’s the World Cup being at Lincoln Financial Field, the Phillies starting to reach the bulk of their season, or everything else outside the city walls, here’s what to look forward to in June.

MAY RECAP

May often acts as the prologue for the true beginning of summer, and here’s everything that took place.

Hosting at F1 Miami: Renee was at F1 in Miami with Female Quotient where she had plenty of interesting conversation, a chance to listen to other panels, and an even greater pleasure to host her own panel. Moments like this remind her how big this space is and how powerful it is that she’s part of the conversation of what comes next.

The Clio Awards: Renee was invited to attend the Clio Awards in NYC. She was able to enjoy and witness the amount of impact and creativity being celebrated.

FWC 26 Philly Panel: The World Cup is already starting to become a part of Philly! Renee hosted a fireside chat for FIFA Philly alongside Roger Bennett—the founder of Men in Blazers and author of the new book “We Are The World (Cup)”. One of the coolest aspects of the upcoming World Cup is all the many different pieces in the industry coming together to build it up for the rest of the fandom.

“Can We Kick It?” Documentary: On May 28th, the world premiere of the documentary ‘Can We Kick It?’ took over Harlem at the iconic AMC Magic Johnson Theater. The purpose of the documentary is about the struggles and experiences of black athletes in the world of soccer. Renee stars in it and shares her experiences as a former D1, hall of fame soccer player.

A PREVIEW OF JUNE

There will be plenty of sports coverage and speaking engagements for Renee when June comes around. Due to all the events starting to pile up, Renee will have a month filled with keeping you covered.

World Cup Promo: A World Cup promo video for FIFA has Renee taking part in a starring role. The video will be shared throughout the city of Philadelphia and all-over social media to keep everybody ready for the Philly upcoming spectacle.

Woman’s Tennis Association: Renee's will be helping to promote the WTA Announcement that is in Philly this year. Continue to keep your eyes and ears wide open for all things tennis in the city this June.

International Travel?: For the start of the World Cup events, Renee of course will be traveling within the US—but that might not be the only place. The possibility of her being able to travel internationally is starting to become stronger. Stay tuned for this great possibility!

The World Cup Opener: She will be hosting interviews and on site at the open of the World Cup Matches in Philly, while likely being in NYC and Miami as well for more coverage. Throughout the entirety of the opener, Renee will be on the frontlines for firsthand coverage.

THREE TIPS FOR EXPANDING YOUR CAREER INTENTIONALLY

Tip One:

Be intentional about relationships and networking because that is the part of the building blocks of what could help you in the future. Meeting people is a key aspect for success in any industry. Remember: it’s not always what you know, it’s who you know.

Tip Two:

Focus on visibility and consistency in your work. Things should always feel like you’re trying to follow a certain style or the same game plan on a week-to-week basis. Experiment with different things within your marketing and presentation, but always go back to the main fundamentals so your audience understands the message.

Tip Three:

Say “yes” to opportunities that align with long-term growth. Keeping your eyes and ears open for anything that involves your planned path allows you to experience new things as you reach your goal. Saying “yes” is the first step.

The spotlight that Philly will have once the World Cup begins has already begun to shine down. With every passing day, Renee is ready for all the momentum that comes with it.
