In her TEDxWilmingtonSalon talk, Renee Washington discusses the different seasons of our lives and how sometimes we feel like we have failed, been rejected, or been denied opportunities. In reality, we have been planted like a seed in the ground, delayed, and redirected into our purpose. As we navigate through the uncertainty, she discusses how to blossom in the midst of adversity. Renee Washington is a sports reporter working with several networks including ESPN. As a former three-time all-American and soccer hall of famer, she has covered all sports, collegiately or professionally, and most recently worked with the NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLS, and MLB. Outside of reporting, Washington is also a motivational speaker and founder of the organization "Planted, Not Buried", focused on empowering, inspiring, and educating through resources, events, and opportunities. Washington is a digital and social content creator with the WNBA. She is a former analyst and reporter with ESPN. In December of 2020, she launched the organization "Planted, Not Buried," which is focused on providing a supportive, inspiring network for professionals.
